Bob Hodgson has more than 20 years of experience in applying data mining, advanced analytics, machine learning, and test and learn strategies to optimize national events, conferences and exhibitions. He has been an innovator in enhancing the value of customer databases through the use of statistical analysis.
Prior to launching events on the Esteem Media team, Bob was General Manager of Strategies Unlimited, a market research firm. Bob led the development and sales of market research reports, newsletters, and custom consulting services in the LED, image sensor, laser, and compound semiconductor markets. Under Bob’s direction, Strategies in Light became the leading event in the LED industry.
As Vice President of Database Marketing for Key3Media, Bob directed the marketing campaigns for over 100 events. He relied on predictive modeling, customer value analysis, email optimization, market segmentation, market basket analysis, and market research that helped grow attendance to a portfolio of twelve leading high technology events to over 400,000 attendees per year.
He holds an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration and a BS in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Bob is a mad golfer!
Luba Hrynyk‘s (pronounced Hrinick) knew she was hooked at her very first event, a rare coin auction in Boston. Luba’s event experience now spans more than 2 decades and spans numismatic auctions to technology trade shows.
Prior to joining Esteem Media, Luba ran events at the PennWell Corporation spearheading marketing strategy and implementation for multiple events in the semi-conductor, LED, and military and aerospace industries. Luba has produced events on most continents in countless industries. She built her event chops at The Interface Group and later Key3Media, producers of COMDEX — the largest producer of computer expositions and conferences in North America. As National Director, Luba was responsible for direct marketing and ad campaigns for the COMDEX brand.
Luba is a Summa Cum Laude graduate from St. John Fisher College with a BA in Communications/Business Management. A first-generation Ukrainian-American, she has a fondness for pastoral surroundings in which Holsteins dot the landscape, enjoys golf, power walks in the nearby woodlands, and planting a profusion of flowers.
